Joy Is An Act Of Resistance!
After seeing video clips on Instagram highlighting just how beautiful Africa is, I’ve found myself increasingly interested in learning more about the continent. I plan to continue writing about it—as I learn more myself.
The “Great Unretirement” applies across industries, but focusing on software engineering gives me a lens that can ultimately support many other fields as well.

What I now recognize is that this was cognitive dissonance. It was code-switching. It was survival.
Again and again, the same pattern appears: the hunter tells the story, and the lion is left silent. Until the lion learns to write.
Perhaps the most radical thing is not learning something new — but remembering what our bodies already knew, long before anyone told us how to be well.
Perhaps that is the lesson snow offers everywhere — including in places we least expect to find it.
