“You will recognize your path when you come upon it because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need.”
I intended to set up my writing room and start writing yesterday, I found out that I can’t handle such a long drive, like when I was younger. That 17hour drive from Wilmington, NC too a lot out of me, and I ended up enjoying some hot chocolate on the porch, taking my suitcase up to my room and passing out, with the TV on. I say TV, but there isn’t a TV in here, it’s set up for relaxing & resetting. There is internet though and I brought an additional monitor with me. I have a FireStick, so I was able to watching some of my streaming services and movies in my iTunes library. My favorite movie, as of late, to help me relax is “Dance With Me”, with the gorgeous Kris Kristofferson.
I enjoy the silence of the early morning it’s definitely the best part of my day and with the snow it’s was even better. No stirring noise of any kind, not the familiar chirping of the crickets outside, nor the pondering of that annoying woodpecker just outside my window, and no neighborhood alley cat running across the roof. Yes, I know I’m in Maine and not North Carolina but still. No one seemed to be out and about, and the usual creatures seemed to be nonexistent as well. It was completely quiet and I love it.
Making another cup of hot chocolate and taking a small journal with me, I am going to do my “Morning Pages” and then get down to the business of setting up my writing room and working on a chapter or two.
