DeepSeek AI
I have been trying, for a while now, to find out what goes on behind the scenes at OpenAI. To get a peek at the code or something… it was a struggle. I learned today that DeepSeek AI is open-source. Now I haven’t been able to log onto the site just yet. I am looking forward to exploring the code and such.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Tech Stock stumbled due to the release of DeepSeek AI. China released its trained sophisticated artificial intelligence model at a fraction of the cost of its Silicon Valley rivals, triggering a sudden reversal of the recent AI rally. The AI model is also open-sourced, which is exciting to me.
DeepSeek, based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, is a Chinese AI company that develops open-source large language models LLM). It was founded by Liang Wenfeng, in 2023, at a fraction of the cost of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and others.
I’m excited to explore the app and once I can sign up (I’m sure everyone is trying to do so now) I will write more on my experience.
